We have recently installed a new stove & liner to this lovely old cottage in Charlton for one of my favourite customers who has lived here all her life, whose chimney we have swept for last 4 years & she has decided to have a woodburning stove fitted, after many years of wanting one & now in her later years (late 80`s) decided to treat herself. Especially as her sister who lives in Scotland has one already, we removed the old fire surround, power swept the chimney, opened up the fire recess, fire boarded out & installed a new slate hearth, installed a new liner & backfilled with insulation pellets, plated off the chimney stack & installed new pot & cowl with some chimney repairs & flaunching. Unfortunately the stove we were fitting is on a back order of 5-6 weeks so we could not allow this lovely lady to go cold without her fire, so we installed a temporary stove for her to use until hers arrives end of Nov, we will then remove the temporary stove & connect her new Saltfire St2  Defra Approved stove. The customer has contacted me to say how lovely the stove is & nice & warm she is, just in time for the bad weather, but don`t get to attached to this stove as its only temporary your new stove will be even better.. Can`t wait to complete this installation, for this lady as she is such a lovely, caring with a wicked sense of humour person.
