We had the pleasure in being requested to do another installation in our home village of Chacombe.

Update sitting room fireplace with electric effect fire, set in a lime stone surround, Customer requested if we could remove electric fire & refurbish opening it back to a solid fuel open fire, unfortunately the extra wide liner needed for an open fire would not fit the width of the chimney stack, so after a few meeting & plenty of page flicking at the multitude of woodburning stoves on offer, the customer decided to have the fire removed & a Clearview Pioneer 400 stove fitted, but wanting to keep the surround & make it match with the bigger recess opening, this meant removing the stone surround & dismantling the stone slips, so these could be cut down to use for the recess hearth, & the gaps up the inside of the support legs, a bit of a jigsaw but a challenge is a challenge, especially if we broke or damaged anything replacements near on impossible. but glad to say we removed the surround & cleared the recess, added new concrete lintel, new recess hearth & boarded out, we then sealed in with closure plate, installed & backfilled with new stainless steel liner, new buff pot & cowl, re-installed & bonded surround to the wall, painting the recess white to help frame the sleek looking Clearview stove & plastered the chimney breast for fresh new look. This has turned into a real labour of love & a family effort with help, we were extremely proud of the overall out look, but to top that, the customer who`s heart was set on an open fire are also over the moon with it & have expressed this in the testimonial which I have also added to the website, Its always good to do local work, but even better when jobs turn out this good for us & especially the customer.
