We were contacted by a regular customer who lives in a new build house which we sweep the chimney there, she requested if we could install a woodburning stove in to her childhood house which she owns that she grew up in just around the corner, the house is going under a complete refurbishment to bring the house up to a more modern look, in the sitting room was a 1950`s tiled surround & hearth with a baxi back boiler for heating. We were requested to remove the surround & baxi boiler & open up the recess to sit a modern looking stove instead, we came up with Saltfire ST2 Stove  which is 82% efficiency & Defra approved so absolutely perfect for the room, we removed the boiler & pipework ( which was drained by plumber ), enlarged the recess & installed a new concrete lintel, 3 piece slate hearth, concreteboard sided recess, plastered the chimney breast, installed closureplate & adjustable stove pipe with sweeping access into new chimney liner, insulation backfill, new pot, cowl & flaunching. Painted the recess white to help enhance the good looks of the stove with its sleek modern look & large window door to view the lovely flame, as you can see its made a great feature & the customer is very jealous its not in her house, again another very happy customer.
